Facility

The BioOutsource facility is based in the Todd Campus at The West of Scotland Science Park, home to over 25,000 m2 of accommodation for 30 science based companies. The West of Scotland Science Park is convenient for Glasgow International airport (9 miles) and Glasgow city centre (6 miles).

The Phase 1 laboratory facility is approx. 420 m2 with office facilities on the first floor. The area is designed as a cGMP compliant facility with clean change area and process work flows ensuring one-way movement of samples and materials. Our facility has been designed to segregate negative, test material and positive sample to eliminate the possibility of compromising sample integrity. Our design specification for the facility is available to our clients on our BioWeb application.

We have a dedicated and controlled sample receipt and storage area. All of the sample storage locations are linked to our validated building and equipment monitoring system which ensures a 24 hours a day 7 days a week safeguard of the security and integrity of samples. We have storage capacity for samples in liquid nitrogen, -80°C, -20°C and 2-8°C.

BioOutsouce recognises the absolute requirement for accurate control on all instrumentation. All of our equipment has been validated to ensure cGMP compliance and our documentation for DQ, IQ, OQ and PQ is available to our clients on our BioWeb application.
